25th Annual Festival Celebration
April 17-18, 2026 at Camp Bethel, Fincastle, VA
Join us for fun stories, music, food, and springtime beauty, all to raise funds for Camp Bethel in Fincastle, VA. Our excellent Sponsors make this event possible, and your donations keep it alive. Food is available for sale inside the festival, and food trucks are right outside. You may also bring your own food, drinks and snacks.

25TH ANNUAL CELEBRATION EVENTS

This year, our Sounds of the Mountains festival brings the same joy and emotion, superb storytelling and comradery. But now there's more!! To celebrate the 25th year of this amazing festival, there are SIX tellers and several new events. Read below to learn more about the early show, breakfast with the tellers, and the family stage! 

Early Show
If you wish not to stay out late or just want more, this year will offer an additional storytelling set as an "Early Show"! Friday, April 17, 3:00-4:30pm will include short stories by all the 2026 festival tellers. Tickets available at the door or online.

​Breakfast with the Tellers
Meet and mingle with the 2026 Sounds of the Mountains storytellers at this event! You will enjoy a delicious, buffet breakfast in Camp Bethel's Ark Dining Hall while you mingle with the tellers and other festival fans. Tickets available online; no tickets will be available at the door.

​Family Stage
Storytelling should be for everyone! This year, Camp Bethel's Heritage Lodge will be the site of our second stage. This area will be family-friendly and will include stories geared toward children, a bounce house, face painting and more! Introduce your children to the art of storytelling! Family Stage ticket packages available online and at the door.

Join three of our tellers for an early, house show at Cloverdale CoB (4708 Read Mountain Road, Cloverdale, VA 24077). No ticket required; donations accepted.
