...we combine the magic of storytelling and music with the peace and beauty of Camp Bethel for the Sounds of the Mountains Festival... Join us April 20-21, 2012

Come join us at Camp Bethel as we celebrate the Sounds of the Mountains Festival on April 20 and 21, 2012!

We are delighted to welcome to the Sounds of the Mountains stage Kim Weitkamp, Wayne Henderson, The Wright Kids, Bobby Norfolk, Michael Reno Harrell and Bil Lepp.

Our festival is held at Camp Bethel, located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Southwest Virginia. The Jefferson National Forest adjoins our 470 acres of forests, streams, open meadows, and hiking trails. Conveniently located 5 miles off I-81 at exit 156, 10 miles north of Roanoke, we offer a beautiful spring setting for a storytelling festival.

Through the vision and the work of many volunteers, we combine the magic of storytelling and music with the peace and beauty of Camp Bethel for the Sounds of the Mountains Festival.

All performances are held indoors. The main stage will be inside our Deer Field Center, which includes indoor restrooms, food vendors, and merchandise area. The festival will take place rain or shine.

For festival information call Camp Bethel at (540)992-2940.

Tent and dry camping is available anywhere on Camp property. There are several full and partial RV hook-ups, but they go fast. Cabins and cottages are available for overnight rental at Camp Bethel with advance reservation. Call 540-992-2940 to reserve your spot. Hotels are also available within a 10-15 minute drive.

Food, snacks, drinks, and homemade desserts will be served throughout the weekend. On Saturday, several vendors will provide Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner during the meal breaks.

We look forward to seeing you April 20 and 21, enjoying all the great stories and music together... the Sounds of the Mountains.
